KGPC Youth learn what it means to be part of a Christian community, and how that applies to each aspect of their lives. Our goal is to help you to
grow and mature
as a follower of Jesus Christ through classes, groups, and travel opportunities.
Middle school youth meet from 4:00PM to 5:00PM in room 102 for fellowship hour. The middle school and high school youth share a meal together from 5:00PM to 6:00PM. High school youth meet from 6:00PM to 7:00PM in room 102.
Cultivate a stronger faith with our enrichment opportunities on Sunday Mornings! Middle and High School Students gather at 9AM in the Youth Rooms to discuss faith and enjoy donuts.
Each summer, we attend Massanetta Middle School Conference (usually in June) and Montreat High School Conference (usually in July) to develop our faith and have fun.
Our youth program incorporates instruments, movement, and singing on Wednesday evenings.
Older students are intentionally welcomed to join the last few minutes of younger groups to assist them, review skills, and be ready to move on in their group.
Youth handbell (6th – 12th grade) rehearsals and worship participation occur periodically throughout the church year.
These are offered regularly to encourage our youth to grow in their faith and develop Christian leadership skills.
Students 7th grade and above take responsibility for their faith by learning more about the PCUSA theology and spirituality. These youth attend mission projects, classes, interfaith worship services, a retreat, and meet with adult mentors from the congregation for a three month period to prepare them to become members.
Parents of all children and youth who participate in our programs are required to complete a registration form for their child. Parents must show proper identification when picking up their child.
All of our volunteers who work with children and youth are required to have a background check which is updated every two years.
Two adults are present during all programming provided by KGPC.
