The star guided the magi to Jesus. But that wasn’t the only guide. We will explore this familiar story with a lens to the different ways God directed the magi toward Jesus. What acts as your star? What or who guides you to Jesus, pointing you in the right direction? What does it mean for the Christian faith to be a journey toward Jesus? What might be a guiding word that will point you toward Jesus this year?

Reflect on the star word you have received. What are your initial thoughts or associations with this word? Do you identify with this word in relation to God, to others, and/or to yourself? Put this word in an obvious place and during this year allow God to use it to speak to you.
