Yep. It’s time to kick off another church year. Our Welcome Sunday is always full of lots of special activities, food, and a different Sunday morning rhythm. So, in an effort to give you all the information you need, here’s what you can expect this Sunday.
9:00 Family Gathering and Breakfast
We are hosting a breakfast for families with children 5th grade and under in the fellowship hall. In addition to donuts, juice, and coffee, kids and parents will have a chance to learn more about our new faith formation curriculum, teachers, and register for the program.
10:00 One Blended Worship Service
Our Music Team will begin worship with a prelude of singing before our call to worship as you enter the sanctuary. This blended service will incorporate both our Sanctuary Choir and Music Team every week. Our Message for Young Disciples will no longer take place since the children will attend their faith formation classes during the worship service. We also begin our new worship series, Unafraid: Living with Courage and Hope, this Sunday.
10:15 King’s Kids Faith Formation
All children and youth will be excused during the passing of the peace. Children will gather in the fellowship hall for a vibrant and interactive Faith Formation program. This Sunday BE SURE TO BRING YOUR BACKPACKS for a blessing in the Fellowship Hall. Middle and High School youth will gather in their respective rooms. Parents of 5th grade and below are invited to pick up their kids from the fellowship hall after worship.
11:00 All Church Picnic
Stay after worship and join us for a picnic of sandwiches and chips. Enjoy the beautiful weather and wonderful company of your church family as the kids play in the playground.
12:00 Youth Parent Meeting
When the picnic winds down, the parents of middle and high school youth will gather to discuss the upcoming year.
