What Do You Value Most?

person Rev. Dr. Chris Carrasco

We are faced with multiple decisions in our lives. On what basis do we make those decisions? Our values: behaviors that represent our highest ideals. As Christians, our values are derived from Christ. How did he live? What were his highest priorities? Our first two Core Values articulate just that: “Putting God First in Our Lives” and “Seeking to Know and Obey God’s Will.” When God is what we value most, our entire purpose in life is to seek and then follow God’s will. How do we do that?  What are the reasons we don’t do that? How do we cultivate a life that keeps God at the center and constantly wants to know and live God’s will?

Reflection Questions: Name an example of when you put God first in your life and obeyed God’s will. How do you recognize and know God’s will for your life? What is one step you can take this week to make God your highest priority?
