Habakkuk: Dear God, I have a question..
Habakkuk 1:1-5; 2:1-5; 3:17-19 If you have ever wondered, “Why does God do this?” or “That is not fair,” then you must read Habakkuk. This prophet goes to God with the same doubts and faith struggles that many of us experience. He looked around and saw God’s law was being flaunted, violence and injustice abounded, and corrupt leadership ruled. How can God be good when there’s so much evil? However God’s answer to raise up Babylon brought even more questions. This honest conversation is a refreshing insight into the prayers of a faithful man that end in hopeful praise. Are we honest enough to bring our questions to God in prayer? What is our response when we don’t get the answer we are hoping for?
